Internal Communications; if you ask me, one of the most challenging specialities in public relations.
In this episode of Wag The Dog I interview Liam FitzPatrick, co-author of Internal Communications, A Manual for Practitioners – a book I reviewed on my blog last year.
During about 40 minutes we discuss the challenges of internal communications, working with middle and senior management and the importance of transparency.
Liam FitzPatrick’s 25 years of experience with change, PR and internal communications comes from working in-house and in consultancy.
He was Global Head of Internal Communications at Marconi during its financial restructuring and has worked on change and transformation projects in a wide variety of situations. He is particularly interested in developing teams, research and planning.
He was the co-founder of the Black Belt series of training for internal communicators and co-wrote the definitive model of competencies for internal communicators.
If you have feedback, questions, remarks or anything else, please let me know via the audio mailbox of Wag The Dog FM.
