#FuturePRoof, a crowdsourced book and community with the bold ambition of asserting the value of public relations launched earlier last month.
The book includes advice from a stellar line up of Communications academics and Public Relations practitioners who have all given their time free of charge to share their expertise.
Chapters describe emerging areas of practice such as PR’s move towards paid, mapping workflow and freelance business models as well as cover more traditional topics such as measurement and evaluation, PR ethics and stakeholder management.
I spoke with Sarah Hall, Managing Director of Sarah Hall Consulting and curator/editor of the free book.
We cover how the book came into existence and go deeper in several of the very interesting topics and chapters about Public Relations.
About my guest:
Sarah Hall is a pioneer of best practice in the PR industry. The holder of the Chartered Institute of Public Relation’s Sir Stephen Tallent’s medal 2014 for exceptional achievement in PR practice, she has established a reputation as an ethics tsar and gender and equality advocate through her work with the Institute. Outside of her voluntary commitments, you’ll find her running her own PR and marketing business and being Mum to two small boys.
